Asencion made Columbus, Texas her home, where she relished in her role as a homemaker, creating a haven of warmth and affection for her loved ones. She was an extraordinary figure, a woman of incredible strength who braved life's challenges with unflinching resolve. Asencion was widowed by her loving husband, Jose Estrada. Their love story was one of true partnership and mutual support that inspired those who knew them. “Love is not only something you feel, it is something you do” (David Wilkerson). Asencion embodied this quote through her actions, as she loved deeply, lived passionately, and cared selflessly. Asencion was predeceased by her parents, Pedro Valdez and Victoria Perez.
