Domingo Ricardo Herrera

We are saddened to announce the passing of Domingo Herrera, a beautiful soul whose spirit was as radiant as the Texas sun he was born under. Born on April 7, 2007, in Eagle Pass, Texas, Domingo lived a life full of joy, determination, and infectious laughter, touching the hearts of everyone he met.

Domingo was a source of inspiration and a beacon of courage. His participation in the Special Olympics every year was a testament to his strength and tenacity. He embraced each event with such enthusiasm and indomitable spirit that it left an indelible mark on everyone who witnessed his efforts. In the words of Helen Keller, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." Domingo embodied these words, his love for the Special Olympics was not just about winning, but about sharing his joy and love for life with those around him.

Domingo is survived by his loving father, Manuel Jr, and his adoring sisters, Paloma and Paola Leyva. He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Paloma Aguilar. As we mourn his passing, we can take comfort in the fact that he lived his life to the fullest, radiating love and positivity wherever he went.

A viewing will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 2:00 pm CST and again on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 9:00 am CST at the Memorial Funeral Chapels, Eagle Pass. The rosary will be said on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 6:00 pm CST at the same venue. The Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 11:00 am CST at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church, Eagle Pass.
