Iselda Salazar

Iselda Salazar, born April 25, 1956, in the vibrant city of Piedras Negras, Coahuila Mexico, was a woman of extraordinary spirit. Her journey took her from the warm, colorful streets of Mexico to the heart of Eagle Pass, Texas, where she built a life full of enduring friendships, familial bonds, and meaningful contributions. The world lost a truly remarkable woman on January 18, 2025, but her legacy will forever continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to cross her path.

Iselda was a beacon of light in the lives of her two sons, Rosenberg and Hector Garza. A fiercely loving mother, she instilled in them the values of resilience, compassion, and determination. In the words of Maya Angelou, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." This quote perfectly encapsulates the impact Iselda had on her sons and everyone she encountered. Her warmth, her joy, and her unwavering love will forever linger in the hearts of her sons and all those who loved her.

Preceding Iselda in death were her parents, Celedonio Zapata and Heriberta Ramirez. Their loving guidance shaped Iselda into the exceptional woman she was, and their reunion brings a sense of solace amidst the sorrow. The viewings will take place at Memorial Funeral Chapels, located at 1705 Del Rio Boulevard, Eagle Pass, Texas, 78852, on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 2:00pm CST, and again on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 9:00am CST. The Rosary will also be held at the Memorial Funeral Chapels on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 6:00pm CST. The Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at 2055 Williams Street, Eagle Pass, Texas, 78852, on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 11:00am CST.
