Born on October 17, 1943, in Lamadrid, Coahuila de Zaragoza, Mexico, Mario was a man who was larger than life. His infectious laugh and keen sense of humor made him a joy to be around. He was a smart man, always quick with a witty retort or a clever solution, and his love for learning was evident in his engaging conversations and insightful observations. Mario had an extraordinary ability to connect with people. He was compassionate, empathetic, and had a charismatic personality that drew people to him. He was the kind of person who could lighten any room with his presence and make everyone feel special and loved. His iconic phrase, "Nuestro padre Mario," was a testament to his loving nature. He was a beacon of love and light to his family and friends and his absence in their lives will be deeply felt. As Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Mario's legacy is one of love, humor, and warmth, and he will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. Mario is survived by his son, Raul Flores; his daughter, Sandra Flores; his grandson, Raul Flores; his granddaughter, Karen Flores; and his grandfather, Raul Flores. He is preceded in death by his father, Alberto Flores, and his mother, Hortencia Rodriguez. Mario's love for his family was unparalleled. He was a pillar of strength for his children and grandchildren, always there for them in times of need, with a comforting word or a loving embrace. He was a wonderful grandfather, always ready with a funny story or a wise piece of advice. Mario's loss will be felt deeply, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
