It is with profound sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Linka Margarita Hausman Ruiz on August 14, 2025. Born on November 4, 1952, in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, Linka Margarita was a woman of extraordinary character and tenacity. Her life was a testament to the famous quote by Mahatma Gandhi, "Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will." This indomitable will saw her through an illustrious career as an attorney spanning over six decades, making her a beacon of justice and fair play in her beloved hometown of Piedras Negras, Coahuila Mexico.

Linka Margarita was a figure of strength and resolute determination, not only in her professional life but also in her personal life. She was the loving pillar of her family, offering guidance, support, and endless love to her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Gilma Cervera, Bernardo Cervera, and Victor Hugo Torres, and her grandchildren, Eduardo, Michelle, and Paulina. She is also survived by her loving husband, Hugo Torres. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Hausman and Gilma Ruiz. Linka Margarita's life was a vivid illustration of the quote by Helen Keller, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." Her love, wisdom, and resilience were indeed the most beautiful things that touched the hearts of those who knew her.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 9:00 am CDT and Monday, August 18, 2025, also at 9:00 am CDT, at Funerales Socorro, located at 1011 Avenida Emilio Carranza, Piedras Negras, Coahuila de Zaragoza, 26020. Mass will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 12:00 pm CDT at Parroquia Nuestra Señora de San Juan de los Lagos, located at 904 Sinaloa, Piedras Negras, Coahuila de Zaragoza, 26025. Burial will follow the Mass, at 1:00 pm CDT, at Panteón Santo Cristo, located at 307, Río Escondido, Sin Nombre de Col 4 Panteón, Coahuila de Zaragoza, 26094.
