Reynaldo Alonzo

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Reynaldo Alonzo, a cherished father, beloved friend, and respected member of the Eagle Pass, Texas community. Reynaldo was born on August 30, 1960, in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, and departed from this life on January 25, 2025. As the words of George Eliot remind us, "Our dead are never dead to us until we have forgotten them," and Reynaldo's legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of those who knew him.

Reynaldo was a man of remarkable spirit and indomitable will. His zest for life was infectious, and his generosity knew no bounds. Reynaldo was a caring and devoted father to his beloved daughter, Lorena Alonzo, and two sons, Reynaldo Alonzo Jr.Omar Alonzo, who survives him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Alonzo and Camila Jasso.

Reynaldo's life will be celebrated with a viewing on Monday, January 27, 2025, at 2:00pm CST at Memorial Funeral Chapels, Eagle Pass. A rosary will be held at the same venue at 5:00pm CST the same day. His life will be further honored with a cremation ceremony on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 9:00pm CST, also at Memorial Funeral Chapels, Eagle Pass. As the words of the poet Rumi remind us, "Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation."
