Silvia Sandoval

Silvia Sandoval was a radiant light in the lives of those who knew her. Born on the 11th of March, 1953 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, her life was a testament to the resilience and beauty of the human spirit. Silvia was a woman of steel wrapped in velvet, a person with an unbreakable spirit, yet a heart full of compassion and unwavering kindness. As Maya Angelou once wrote, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Silvia embodied this sentiment throughout her life, leaving a lasting impression of warmth and love in the hearts of everyone she encountered.

Silvia moved to Eagle Pass, Texas, where she nurtured a rich and fulfilling life. Although she never sought employment, Silvia dedicated her life to the most important job of all - being a loving mother and a dedicated wife. Her home was a fortress of love, her kitchen an assembly of irresistible Mexican delicacies, and her heart a reservoir of unconditional love. She is survived by her adoring daughter, Estela Leon. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Napolion Sandoval, and her loving parents, David Juarez and Ventura Padilla.

The viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Memorial Funeral Chapels in Eagle Pass, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. An additional viewing will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. at the same location. The burial service will be held on the same day, at 12:00 p.m. at the Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery in Eagle Pass. As we gather to celebrate Silvia's life, let us remember the words of Helen Keller: "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us."
